Dalton Tanonaka : metro tv news anchorman

This morning I wake up early to go to college, It was chilly you know. Due to the mild temperature in bandung. On the way to campus I usually bought The jakarta post morning newspaper in the shop I passed by. I like to read jakarta post due to its simple english structure. Fortunately today the jakarta post also provide free magazine named “the weekender”, its contains all about live and lifestyle. It was a good magazine I think
when I read the magazine there is something that put my interest, there was an article made by Dalton tanonaka. I am sure you know him, right? he’s the news anchor at metro tv news. I watch his program on tv several times. And I had to say that he is good in conveying the news.
in the article he explained the enjoyment of something small that brought pure happiness to us. But there is something real funny in the article, here is the excerpt.
The luxury store opening in Jakarta’s newest megamall had all the glamour of a Hollywood movie premiere. As I stood trying to coolly observe the landscape, a young lady approached me with a smile and introduced herself as being from one of the city’s upscale social-scene magazines
“Hi, I’m Christine. What’s your name?”
“My name is Dalton,” I replied
“And where do you work?”
“Metro”
“Ah Metro Department Store. which one?” she asked with all sincerity
My burst of laughter reinforced the beliefs that I’ve followed all my life…..
did you now understand what I mean? there are still many people in Indonesia that do not know who Dalton Tanonaka is. the news anchorman at metro tv. so I decided to email dalton tanonaka about his article with the following letter

Hi dalton, I’ve read about your article in the weekender. Well, it’s a funny thing for people not knowing who you are. 
. But I surely know you. I did watch your program in metro tv. my advice to you is that Just give other people sometime to get to know you. people in indonesia still learning english you
know.

I think he is a nice man, And I truly enjoy watching him at tv. I hope you all could do that. There is nothing better to learn english than to hear the news in english.

saya juga suka sekali dalton.
setiap akhir bulan, saya selalu menantikan jakarta weekender.
dan setiap saya membuka jakarta post dan mendapati koran hari ini terasa lebih berat, senangnya minta ampun. seperti mendapat bacaan baru.
dan selalu, tujuan pertama: chitchat
dia bisa mengemas pembahasan yang serius dengan bahasa yang sederhana dan menarik.
Dalton Tanonaka isn’t anything close to the person that he is trying to portray himself to be. He is a man who lacks integrity and is dishonest to everyone he comes in contact with.
His prison time did nothing to reform him in any way, and anyone who thinks anything good of him has been fooled…like the friends and family he left in Hawaii.
As the saying goes, don’t be fooled by the cover of a book. Things are not as they seem, and this is true in the case of Dalton Tanonaka and WHO he is.
Do you really want to know about this man? Then don’t ask him…ask the many who have been in contact with him, who have been taken advantage by him, who have been lied to by him and who, like you…have all been deceived by him. He has shamed the island of Hawaii, and the many here who supported him only to realize that he is not the “man” he claims to be. Stay in Indonesia, Dalton…Hawaii does not want you back, until you change your ways and correct the wrong you’ve done!
Bottom line…he is a huge liar and a horrible person who needs to make things right with those he wronged. I am not commenting here to gain anything personally. I just think it’s time that the world out there realizes who he really is…he’s in FRONT of the camera for a reason. The sooner you all figure it out…the better.
ok, everyone has its own opinion regarding someone else. I don’t want to talk or judge people based on opinion of others. every people has a chance to do what’s right or wrong, because its the only way we can learn to be a better person. but anyway thanks for your comment though. I greatly appreciate it.
