It is said that when in death everything became clear. This is what happen to gus dur, indonesia 4th president. Now that he died everyone started to missed him a lot, they even want to make gus dur a national hero. But when gus dur was still alive they think of him as someone who even failed to manage his own PKB party.
There is a lesson here that we need to take, that is we must think the best of everyone that we know and don’t think them badly before you know the true character of that person.
But for me then yeah RIP gus dur.

if you want to post your blog posting to twitter then here is the way to do just that.

1. first you had to login to your account in wordpress

2. go to dashboard

3. click on my blogs

and after that you’ll see twitter and click on that then you will be directed to your twitter account page for logging in

posting your blogpost in twitter is one of the way to make your blogpost more famous as everyone will more likely to read it.

actually yesterday if you try to open this blog then you will see an error display that said I had violated the TOS agreement between me and wordpress. here is the full message from worpdress to me.

now can you see the problem I am having? it’s because I post the wrong link in my wordpress blog then the admin in wordpress decided to suspend my blog without telling me about this beforehand. well gladly after more then a day the access to my blog was restored and now I can blog easily.

I am currently unable to update my blog post in wordpress because my laptop is broken so it would take 2 weeks for me to get a new laptop.so till then please feel free to give any comments in my posting.

I am just testing how to post in wordpress using operamini. I use m.wordpress.com as the url.

if you are interested in self analysis for your daily routine then there is a great website that can help you with that. the site are called daytum

in this site you can do self-analysis, such as your workout routine, your food and everything that you routinely been doing. for example I am compiling all the stuff that I had eaten and put it in daytum. so it would be like the picture below.

after that I click on the pie chart option and it will show me the graphical analysis of my food intake so I will know what most food that I always eat.

actually we always put many information of our lives in facebook, twitter and blog. but by using daytum you put it all in one place and daytum can sum it up all for you.

in this post I’ll tell you how to calculate pagerank. do you know what is pagerank? pagerank is an algorithm use by google to calculate the weight of the website. so the website that has pagerank of 9 will be display above the website that has a value of 8 and so on.

look at the picture below. remember that I put the picture by using its number as a reference. as an example the picture below is picture 1.0

you can see the above picture 1.0 that 4 is the authority page and has many incoming links. we can assume that the number 1,2,3,4,5,6 are the real website address and they are linking to one another. now we should make matrix representation based on the above picture

based on the above picture 2.0 we start from P1 (originating node) to P2 (destination node) now we should see that P1 has a link to P2 and given a value of 1. P1 also has a link to P3,P4,P5 and given value 1 but P1 doesn’t have a link to P6 so we gave the value 0. and we map every originating link to destination link so we able to know the value. After we finish then we make another table just like the picture below.

in the above picture of 3.0 then we can see that P1 in the citing page get value of 0.25 in the P2 of cited page.  we get this value by dividing 1 with 4 and equals 0.25 and then we did the same thing with P2 but we divide 1 with 2 that equals 0.5, and then P3 divide 1 with 1 equals 1, and then P4 divide 1 with 1 equals 1, and then P5 dividing 1 with 3 equals 0.33 and then P6 dividing 1 with 1 equals 1.

we should take note that P1 that has a value of 1 in the picture of 2.0 has 4 column that has 1 so we divide it with 4 and it equals 0.25, and then so on.   

and now we must initially set all pages to have weight 1

we can see at the above picture of 4.0 that Wo is set to 1, so all the page get minimum pagerank in the value of 1. and then we multiply the matrix of Wo with the picture 3.0 as in the matrix multiplication. I hope you still remember how to do matrix calculations then. but let me remind you a bit.
we need to get the value of W1 and the formula is W1 = B.Wo and it works like this

1 x 0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0.33 + 1 x 0 = 0.33

1 x 0.25 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 1 + 1x 0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0 = 1.25

1 x 0.25 + 1 x 0.5 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 1 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0 = 1.75

1 x 0.25 + 1 x 0.5 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0.33 + 1 x 1 = 2.08

1 x 0.25 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x  0 = 0.25

1 x  0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0 + 1 x 0.33 + 1 x 0 = 0.33

after we perform the above calculations then we make the matrix of W1 like the picture below

well the picture 5.0 above is the result of the calculations that I had done in picture 4.0

you should also know that pagerank is all about iteration, in the above example we only do 1 iteration. the formula is as follows.

Wk = B. Wk-1

so in the end we will get the result as shown by the picture below

look at the above picture 6.0 in the picture you can see that we already calculate W1 and to get W2 we have to do the same calculations as above in picture 4.0 but we had to use W1 multiply by B instead of Wo and then to get W3 we had to use W2 multiply by B instead of W1. this iteration will keep happening until we reach the limit number of 0.00. if we reach 0.00 then we already had the pagerank for the website that we are trying to calculate

anyway I know this explanation will made you had a headache, But I am merely trying to teach you how to do calculations in pagerank algorithms. please comment me if you still do not understand how it works.

I just found a great post detailing the history of linux starting ten years ago. Back in ten years ago linux was meant for server only and only the geek was brave enough to use linux on the desktop. But ten years later now we see linux on every device including nokia N900 with its maemo smartphone, also many linux on the server and now on the desktop computer using ubuntu.

 I find myself wondering what would linux be then in the next 10 year starting now in 2010? I mean with google joining the open source community with its google chrome OS. can google compete with microsoft? it’s just that google is one of the company that’s known to have the ability to go head-to-head with microsoft.

well I think we just have to wait for what will come in the next decade for linux then.

so this will be my last post in the year of 2009, I really had a great time throughout this year and it taught me many great things. the year of 2009 is also the year of social networking

well i want to tell you about one interesting website that can perform 4 google searches in one window. the site are called googlegooglegooglegoogle.com just like the name of the website, you can perform 4 google searches simultaneously enabling you to split the screen into 4 separate window. so you can search independently and one windows is different with one another. you can also visit another website in one of the window, you just have to click one of the green arrow above the window and it’ll ask you to input a URL for you to visit. I think this website is suitable if you need to compare your searches across entire search engine. yeah at least I had let you know about this site right?

actually i was planning to change my URL in wordpress into custom domain, because my current URL is a bit too long to remember. But after much consideration I decided to give my new domain to my blog post in tumblr I decided this is the best option because it was relatively easy and fast to create custom domain in tumblr compare to wordpress. and also another reason is that this wordpress blog of mine was meant to discuss something technical so this blog main concern would be of linux, windows and technology. So I will not post anything concerning my private life here. But if you want to know more about me and also the view that I had in life then you should visit my tumblr blog above.

well I buy this http://jacobian.biz/ domain for Rp.66000 in http://masterweb.net/ and this process only take just a day. maybe it’s a bit expensive, but at least the service is good. not to mention that I had to pay Rp 103000 in next year to renew this domain

well that’s it then, I am just glad I have this new domain so I can tell people my blog URL and it will be easy to remember because it’s shorter.
