the base is under the salt

what is the above picture means?

here is the answer.

NaOH is Sodium hydroxide (NaOH), also known as lye and caustic soda, is a caustic metallic base. It is used in many industries, mostly as a strong chemical base in the manufacture of pulp and paper, textiles, drinking water, soaps and detergents and as a drain cleaner.

NaCl is Sodium chloride, also known as salt, common salt, table salt, or halite, is an ionic compound with the formula NaCl. Sodium chloride is the salt most responsible for the salinity of the ocean and of the extracellular fluid of many multicellular organisms. As the major ingredient in edible salt, it is commonly used as a condiment and food preservative.

so anyway I always like chemistry back in high school and although I did learn few formulas regarding chemistry back at college. But chemistry still intrigued me in some unique way that make me compelled to learn about it more and more. I guess I should try to learn it extensively then. Maybe programming languages is just too boring for me now already. 🙂
